The Book of Light

This message is for everyone, regardless of their religion, their sexuality, their social standing, or any other factors that really have no bearing on the universe.  I recently overcame a battle with spiritual darkness, and the aftermath has left my view of life quite altered.  I can now unequivocally state that there is a Darkness in this world that we must strive against with all our might and with every ounce of our will to resist.  Each of us must be a Light against this Darkness, even though it is trying at times to see our own way ahead, much less to guide the way of others.

There are demons that assail us at every opportunity.  They inhabit the souls of the majority of mankind, though the host may never know these takers of the Light are present.   Among those possessed, there are many who say they have found God, but what they have found instead are spirits who whisper untruthfully of God's will.

I myself have no religion, other than to aspire to be the kindest person I can be.  I do not profess myself to be perfect, or a model for anyone.  I have a temper of which I have loose control, though I pray each time I am in a bad humor that I be given the wisdom and the patience to reign in the Darkness that is within me.

I also pray to the universe to forgive my shortcomings.  I don't pray to Jesus or to Allah or to Buddha, because to do so would be to negate the ideas of others.  I want to accept the beliefs of all men, except those that are born from hatred or an exclusion of others.

I am but a man; I cannot speak definitively as to what any god wishes of me; I can only speak to that which I wish of myself.  To be kind, patient, and full of Light.

I have lost much in my battle with the Darkness that I can never reclaim.  The Darkness breeds loss of faith, loss of trust, not just in one's self, but also in the trust and faith others place in you.   Yet, it's never too late to find your inner Light.  Sometimes, you must accept what you have lost and move on with your life, because to try and reclaim it would be to return to the past, to a place where Darkness had lived.

If you have wronged an individual, then apologize, but do not expect them to see the transformation that is occurring within you.  Some will only see you as you once were.  This is a trap of the Darkness; it lures one to thoughts of self doubt by placing others in your life who will say that you do not have the ability to change for the better.  If you have apologized in a sincere matter to such individuals, then that is enough.  Move on with your life and try to do better today and tomorrow to overcome the sins of your past.

Do not attempt to alter how others see you, because this is a vain, selfish, and needless course.  Strive to be the best that you are and, in time, those who have doubted you will realize the truth of your transformation.  After all, saying you have changed is an effortless task; proving it and living the change is the manifestation of Truth.

Doctrine Of The Book of Light

1.  We each must be a Light in the Darkness.  Every morning, upon arising, we must pray that the Darkness be kept at bay.  The moment any among us believes they have transcended the reach of Darkness, that is when it will take firmest hold.  The struggle for salvation does not end until our souls have moved beyond our flesh.  The flesh is the house of Darkness; the soul, the house of Light.  While we live as mortal beings, we cannot help but be prey to Darkness.  We must be ever vigilant to keep it from infecting our pure spirit.

2.  Kindness is the purest form of religion.  Be good to your brethren, those that share the earth with you.  Kindness brings forth Light; anger brings forth Darkness.

3.  View everyone on this earth as One.  Pay no heed to things such as skin color, social status, sexuality, or religious beliefs.  We are all equals upon this earth, not one of us better than another.

4.  If something or someone in your life brings the Darkness near, then rid yourself of its influence.

5.  Our lives may at times seem empty; in turn, we seek others to fill the void.  If a space inside is empty, it is the cause of a darkening of the soul.  We should not strive to fill a void of our soul by transplanting into this void the essence of another.  From the moment of our births, we are made whole in spirit.  Not one of us needs another being to achieve spiritual fulfillment.  Instead of seeking someone to complete your soul, search inside yourself for those pieces you feel are missing.  I assure you, they are present from your first breath until your last.
